Well the team thought it would be a great idea for Tina to find out and tell us all about her findings...
"Did you realize that ID cards come in a variety of shapes, colours, sizes and materials? You would think that it would be kind of universal but no it is most definitely not because many companies have different sized ID cards or badges so therefore we need to be able to supply the variations.
I shall tell you that if you were to organize card holders for events or conferences you need to allow yourself plenty of time cos the Sales Team at Identity Australia will ask you heaps of questions on your requirements…it’s not so that they can sell you heaps of stuff but to ascertain the appropriate product for your needs. ( does that come with a couple of bottles of red wine I ask)

This week I visited Tina and asked "What do you find intriguing in our business?"... Well her response blew me away and I just had to create a section on our Blog for Tina and her thoughts.

Question: "Tina, what do you find intriging in our business?"
"I didn’t even have to think about that one! One of our many products - The Lanyard.
Bearing in mind I am from a financial background so when assisting in customer services and a customer asks what kind of lanyard does Identity Australia do…my mind is full of options available for plain lanyards and custom lanyards but where do you start and to try and explain it?
Lanyards come in different fabrics, sizes, colours, and polyester/cotton, flat, tubular, satin and then you can have whatever logo or name on it…but more options available on this the type set printed, screen print, embroidered etc. Add to this the width required too.
Then wait for it... what will be hung from the lanyard as there are different attachment swivel or alligator clips, mobile phone attachment with or without a key ring thingy attachment. Jeepers creepers it’s all getting to much for an accountant to explain so the call gets forwarded to one of our experienced Sales Staff whom must have a lot of understanding and patience and know the variations of lanyards.
BUT wait it doesn’t stop there because if it’s not a stock lanyard it is named a custom lanyard and we have to get it supplied….wait for it …again there are more options for Mindy our Supply Manager to consider do we produce it here in Australia or in our factory overseas! Then it's which colours, you can’t say red or bule-ish the colours are matched through a Pantone Colour chart which has numbers. A wee bit like when choosing paint colours but no fancy names just numbers (I just like numbers)."
As you can see.... WOW I had no idea the finance department were so passionate about our products! It just goes to show no matter what staff member you talk to we're ALWAYS going to help our customers.
